Commission Info

 

Terms & Details

  • Commissions will be done in 2-3 weeks depending on the complexity of the project - if at any time the estimated time frame changes, I will notify you via email.

  • If you need a commission to be done earlier than the normal time frame (less than 2 weeks) or moved up in my queue, this will cost extra.

  • Prices may vary based on complexity. Factors that may increase the price include but are not limited to:

    • added props

    • complex backgrounds

    • character design / fashion design

  • I am happy to do more complex projects - just shoot me an email and we’ll talk it over!

  • My commissions are for personal use only (printing at home or posting online/social media, etc.). Commissioners do NOT have the right to sell my art in any way, shape or form, including minting as NFTs.

  • The commissioner may post the final artwork online; however, I must be credited.

  • All commissions will be delivered as a 300 dpi file in the format of the commissioner’s choice. By default, the file is a .png or .pdf.

  • I have the right to decline any commission request.

Payment / Refunds

  • All prices are in USD.

  • I only accept payment through Square invoice. I will need an email address to send the invoice to.

  • All commissions must be paid in full before I begin the work.

  • Refunds are only acceptable in the sketch phase and will include a cancellation fee. Once the okay is given to move on from the sketch phase, refunds will no longer be accepted. There are no refunds once the final artwork is received.

  • The cancellation fee for commissions once the sketch is complete and before proceeding to final is 30% of the original price.

  • Chargebacks are not permitted in any circumstance. The commissioner is responsible for paying any fees I may incur from a chargeback dispute.

How to Commission

You can request a commission from me in one of two ways:

🌟 Via Email

  • Have your character reference(s) and important details ready.

  • Email me at kmvisnaw@gmail.com with your info!

  • This method is easiest if you have something very specific in mind that I haven’t listed or want to talk over some questions first!

  • Some things to include in your email:

    • your name / social media handle (so I know how to address you!)

    • commission type / number of characters (icon, half-body, etc.)

    • character name(s) & visual references

    • description of what you’d like (specific posing, expression, notes on personality traits, added props or background, etc.)

🌟 Via Form

  • Fill out this simple form here and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible with estimates and other details!

  • This method is easiest if you just want a regular character commission similar to the examples I’ve listed.

  • The form is not for more complex projects such as commissions with more than 3 characters in them or including custom character design / fashion design. Please shoot me an email me with the details for projects like this! 💘

Fashion/Outfit Design & Character
Reference Sheets

Fashion/Outfit Design

  • starts at $45 for one outfit

  • +$15 per additional outfit

  • designs are sketch quality with flat coloring

  • can include hairstyle changes as well

  • complex fantasy-style outfits may cost extra - if this is the case, I will let you know ahead of time!

  • I won’t be able to design armor or mecha-type outfits, sorry!

  • pricing is for pre-existing characters - does not include designing the character themselves

Character Design

There are a few options for a design commission. See gallery for examples!

  • Full-Color Full Body Design- $100

    • 1 full-color full body illustration

  • Character Design Sheet - $180

    • 1 full-color full body illustration

    • full body sketch concepts & alternates

    • 3 simple outfit exploration sketches

Character Design Commissions do not require visual reference, but you may send me some if you have some specifics in mind! These commissions may take a bit more back and forth depending on the complexity of the design.

For the full-color full body design option, you will receive a sketch of the design to approve before I move on to the final colored illustration.

Character Design sheets will include a few more approval stages - after thumbnailing & exploration sketches, outfit explorations, & the full-body sketch.

Usage

Character Design Commissions fall under the same policy of my regular commissions. These commissions are for personal use only. You may not alter, sell, or claim the work as your own. I retain the rights to the artwork and may post it online unless otherwise specified as a private commission.

You may post the artwork online (with credit please), print it for yourself, use it as a reference in role-playing or tabletop games, use it as reference to commission another artist, etc.
